Company Description Kehillah Studios is an academy and collaborative project dedicated to building a community of African/Black creatives focused on promoting African storytelling through animation, film, and art/design. Our mission is to empower African creatives to bring African stories to life both locally and internationally. Presently, we are focused on training black creatives through workshops, networking opportunities, development days, and seminars in diverse fields such as Animation, Filmmaking, Games Art, Photography, Sound Design/Music Production, and Graphic Design. Our goal is to create a community of African creatives who produce content reflecting African heritage and Christian values, while also providing global recognition to African stories. Role Description This is a volunteer remote role for a Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for various HR tasks including recruitment, training, employee relations, and performance management. The role involves developing HR strategies, managing employee lifecycle processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. The HR Manager will also support the organization by fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Overseeing the entire recruitment and selection process, from creating job descriptions and posting vacancies to screening candidates, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
  • Developing and implementing talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Utilizing modern recruitment strategies like social media presence, video interviews, and AI-driven tools.

Employee Relations:

  • Acting as a point of contact for all HR-related matters and resolving employee conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Promoting a culture of respect, continuous improvement, and positive employee engagement.

Performance Management:

  • Developing and overseeing performance appraisal systems and conducting performance review meetings.
  • Monitoring and supporting employee performance, including implementing performance improvement plans.

Training and Development:

  • Identifying training needs within the organization and designing and implementing relevant training programs.
  • Facilitating learning and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

HR Administration:

  • Managing day-to-day HR administration tasks such as contracts, absence management, and maintaining confidential employee records in compliance with GDPR.
  • Ensuring payroll information is accurate and submitted on time.

Strategic Contribution:

  • Aligning HR strategies with the overall business strategy and contributing to leadership discussions and decisions.
  • Developing people plans and strategies for growth and talent management.
  • Analyzing HR metrics and providing reports and recommendations to leadership.
  • Developing and maintaining effective policies and procedures for the region.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Recruitment, Talent Management, and Employee Relations
  • Knowledge of HR Policies, Employment Laws, and Performance Management
  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote teams
  • Experience in the creative industry is a plus
