Principal, UX Designer - AI Shopping

For our client, we are seeking a Principal UX Designer - AI Shopping to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. You’ll play a key role delivering outcomes for customers and stakeholders in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of priorities. This role offers visibility, growth, and impact. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $143,000 – $286,000 annually. Responsibilities

• Design best-in-class AI shopping experiences focused on usability
• Shape AI-driven shopping journeys proactively assisting customers
• Ensure consistency and brand integrity across various platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate AI capabilities into customer value
• Balance user, business, and technical needs in AI applications
• Rapidly prototype and iterate designs in a fast-paced environment
• Champion design thinking and responsible AI principles across the organization

Qualifications

• Mastery across multiple design disciplines (visual, interaction, systems)
• Strong craft and dedication to efficient, high-quality execution
• Ability to communicate complex AI-driven flows through narratives and prototypes
• Strategic mindset with systems-thinking approach to design
• Track record of shipping successful products with senior stakeholders
• Experience facilitating design sprints and cross-functional workshops
• Comfort with ambiguity in emerging technologies like AI and automation
