Job Title: Engineering SupervisorJob Description Join a dynamic Operations Engineering team that brings together Applications Engineers, Project Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers to manage the full lifecycle of engineering activities. - Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers in the design and execution of material handling systems.
- Contribute directly to project deliverables while validating and coordinating the work of others.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure designs align with standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.
- Partner with Project Engineers and Project Managers to effectively resource projects and forecast team capacity.
- Identify and implement improvements to engineering tools, processes, and workflows.
- Collaborate with other engineering leaders to drive continuous improvement in standard practices and automation.
- Manage day-to-day team performance, workload distribution, and maintain positive working relationships across engineering, project management, fabrication, and client teams.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in 3D CAD Systems (Inventor, SolidWorks, PTC CREO), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough knowledge of team processes, drafting, and design standards.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to track progress, ensure quality, and close gaps.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in steel manufacturing, conveyor systems, material handling systems, and packaging systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and contributing to the development of engineering processes.
- Commitment to professional integrity.
Work Environment Open to remote or hybrid candidates. Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting with interaction with team members and clients in both remote and on-site locations. Occasional site visits to fabrication shops or project locations and periodic evening or weekend work as project schedules demand. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Topeka, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $97500.00 - $125000.00/yr.
