🌍 Freelance Digital Painter / Illustrator (Remote – Open to Global Applicants)

📍 Contract | Remote | Freelance

We’re an Oakland, CA–based art, design, and fabrication studio that curates and creates custom artwork collections for commercial spaces, specifically hotels. Our work spans digital painting, murals, installations, photo collage, and everything in between. We’re now looking for a freelance digital painter/illustrator to collaborate with our team from anywhere in the world.

🎨 What You’ll Do:

·      Create original digital artwork from client and team inspiration materials

·      Paint in a wide variety of styles (expressive, abstract, realistic, photorealistic)

·      Paint across varied subject matter (figurative, landscape, abstract, and more)

·      Use Photoshop, Midjourney, and other tools to produce painterly or realistic results

·      Collaborate with our creative team and respond to feedback

·      Create digital renderings and concept visuals for 2D/3D art installations

·      Occasionally assist with client-facing presentation materials

✅ Must-Have Qualifications:

·      Fluent in English – direction and critique will be given in English

·      At least 3 years of experience creating original digital paintings or illustrations

·      Proficient in Photoshop, with familiarity in Midjourney and similar tools

·      Experience painting in a wide variety of styles and subjects

·      Strong grasp of composition, color, and visual storytelling

·      All artwork must be original – artist must verify copyright ownership

·      Familiar with Google Suite and organized remote work practices

·      Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting

·      Ability to join video calls for art critiques and project meetings – Pacific Standard Time, US

🌟 Bonus Skills:

·      Experience in fine art, art history, and interior design

·      Art history knowledge and awareness of design trends

Please Note:

While we respect the creativity and technical skills involved in video game design, this role is not related to game development or concept art for games. Experience in game pipelines or game-specific design work is not required and typically not aligned with the needs of this position. We’re specifically seeking artists with a background in painterly digital artwork for fine art and commercial design environments.

This is a freelance contract role.
