Job Description

Posted on: September 8, 2026

Company Description - Novitas is a leading provider of training services to large global customers. Established in 2012, we design and deliver training and eLearning on behalf of our clients across supply chain, quality, procurement and large global IT programmes.

Role Description - We are seeking a creative and ambitious Instructional Designer to take projects from initial subject matter analysis through to polished, engaging digital learning. The role combines instructional design, eLearning development and visual design, requiring equal confidence in structuring a learning experience, building it in Articulate Storyline and producing it to a high visual standard.

You will work alongside our consultants and engage directly with high-profile clients, so professional presence and client-facing confidence are as important as technical capability. This role offers flexible working across our Dublin (IE) and Birmingham (UK) locations, or fully remote.

What you will do

  • Design and develop interactive eLearning in Articulate Storyline, along with supporting resources such as assessments, quick reference cards and course presentations.
  • Facilitate design conversations with subject matter experts and translate complex process content into clear, learner-focused material.
  • Apply established learning theory and design models to produce content that drives measurable behavioural change rather than simply transferring information.
  • Take ownership of the visual quality of your output, including layout, typography, iconography, animation and overall look and feel.
  • Contribute across the full eLearning project lifecycle, working both independently and as part of an agile learning team.
  • Support and strengthen client relationships, and help shape our approach to new learning engagements.

What you will bring

Essential

  • 3+ years experience in instructional design and eLearning development roles.
  • Advanced Articulate Storyline skills. Storyline is the primary authoring tool for this role and applicants should be able to evidence substantial development work in it.
  • Strong instructional design skills, with a demonstrable understanding of learning theory and its practical application.
  • Strong graphic design skills, with a keen eye for visual consistency and brand alignment.
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confident communication skills for client and SME engagement.
  • A portfolio of work to date, to be submitted with your application

Desirable

  • Experience with Articulate Rise and the wider Articulate 360 suite.
  • Experience with Vyond or comparable tools for animated video content.
  • Multimedia production and user experience (UX) experience.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) or equivalent.
  • A third-level qualification in eLearning, instructional design or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to ERP or large-scale enterprise training programmes.
