Nørd Studio is looking for talented freelance motion designers.

We are Nørd Studio, a Scandinavian design studio dedicated to crafting thoughtful and accessible UX, content, and digital solutions. Our team is focused on creating user-centered and accessible designs that enhance digital experiences. Based in Copenhagen, we take pride in our innovative and functional approach to design. What you'll create

• Kinetic typography and dynamic text animations that capture Nordic sensibilities

and/or

• 2D motion graphics for digital campaigns, explainer videos, and social media content

and/or

• 3D animations and visual effects for product showcases and brand storytelling

and/or

• UI/UX animations and micro-interactions using Jitter for seamless user experiences

and/or

• Accessible motion design that welcomes everyone while meeting EU compliance standards

What we're looking forEssential:

• Proficiency in kinetic typography, 2D, and/or 3D animation
• Experience with Jitter – the collaborative web-based motion design tool (we love its Figma integration!)
• Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse motion design work
• Understanding of current animation trends and techniques

Bonus Points:

• Accessibility expertise: Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines for motion design, reduced motion preferences, and creating inclusive animated experiences
• Experience with Scandinavian markets and cultural nuances
• Proficiency in After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, or other industry-standard tools
• Background in UI/UX animation and micro-interactions
• Previous freelance experience with design agencies
