Associate Frontend Developer
Job Description
Posted on: May 20, 2026
About Olive Tree Consulting Group Olive Tree Consulting Group works with leadership teams when the ordinary work of management starts to feel heavier than it should. We focus on the practical ways that decisions, responsibilities, and priorities move through an organization. Often, we are brought in when the same issues keep appearing, even though talented people are trying their best to solve them. This might look like decisions that get reopened after they were supposedly settled, or priorities that drift until everyone is busy but no work moves forward. We help simplify these patterns. Our work is not about introducing large transformation programs or complex software systems. Instead, we look at the meetings, notes, and habits already in place and help make them more usable. The goal is to create a quieter, clearer management rhythm that allows leaders to focus on their actual work rather than the coordination of it. As an Associate Frontend Developer, you will help us build the digital tools that make this clarity possible for our clients and our internal team. In This Role This is an entry level position focused on developing clean, functional web interfaces that support our consulting work. You will spend your time building and refining the tools that help leadership teams visualize their priorities and track their progress. Because we value simplicity, your work will focus on making layouts intuitive and removing the friction that often makes business software frustrating to use.
- Building and maintaining web components for our internal productivity tools.
- Converting design drafts into functional, responsive HTML and CSS.
- Collaborating with our consultants to understand how they use data in the field.
- Identifying ways to make our existing user interfaces cleaner and easier to navigate.
- Testing new features across different browsers to ensure a consistent experience.
What You Will Do A typical week involves a mix of coding new features and improving what we already have. You will not be responsible for managing a large team or navigating high-pressure deadlines. Instead, you will focus on the quiet work of building things that work well. You will document your progress clearly so that the rest of the team understands the changes you make.
- Reviewing feedback from our team to fix small bugs or layout issues.
- Working on new features that help clients categorize and track their meeting outcomes.
- Writing clean, readable code that any other developer could pick up and understand.
- Contributing to our internal library of reusable frontend components.
- Participating in brief check-ins to discuss technical hurdles and progress.
What You Bring We are looking for someone who finds satisfaction in technical precision and plain language. Since this is an introductory role, we do not require a long history of professional work. We do require a solid grasp of the basics and a willingness to learn our specific way of working. You should be someone who enjoys organizing information and making things look professional without being flashy.
- A solid understanding of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- The ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms for non-developers.
- A high level of attention to detail when it comes to spacing, alignment, and typography.
- Self motivation to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- A preference for simple, direct solutions over complex technical structures.
Helpful Background While not strictly required, certain skills and interests can help you get started more quickly. We value a broad curiosity about how people work together and how software can support those habits without getting in the way.
- Experience using modern frontend libraries such as React or Vue.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- An interest in organizational design or team productivity habits.
- Basic knowledge of web accessibility standards.
- Experience working with CSS frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap.
What The Role Offers We provide a work environment that is designed to be calm and productive. There are no offices to go to and no mandatory social events. We focus on clear expectations and the space to do your work well.
- A fully remote position with a focus on asynchronous communication.
- A quiet culture that prioritizes deep work over constant meetings.
- Opportunities to learn from experienced professionals in both tech and consulting.
- A practical approach to professional growth where your work speaks for itself.
- A predictable schedule that respects your personal time.
Working at Olive Tree Consulting Group means joining a team that values movement and clarity over noise. We believe that when the management rhythm is right, everyone can contribute their best efforts without feeling worn down by coordination. Success in this role looks like becoming a reliable part of that rhythm, building tools that are as helpful and straightforward as the advice we give our clients.
