YouTube and Short-Form Video Content Creator

Remote | Part-Time | Long-Term Opportunity Mpact Psychiatry and Mpact Wellness are seeking a creative, organized video content creator who can turn our existing mental health and wellness blogs into engaging YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok content. We already produce approximately 20 evidence-based blogs each month. We have a large library of valuable content, but we need someone who can transform that written content into videos that are educational, visually engaging, easy to understand, and consistent with our brand. Primary Responsibilities For each assigned blog, you will: Turn the blog into a clear, engaging video script. Create long-form YouTube videos, generally 3–8 minutes. Create short-form videos, generally 30–90 seconds. Repurpose each video for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok. Create attention-grabbing hooks, captions, titles, and descriptions. Add subtitles, transitions, background music, graphics, stock footage, animations, and branded elements. Create YouTube thumbnails in Canva. Upload and schedule videos across approved platforms. Add appropriate keywords, tags, descriptions, links, and calls to action. Organize all scripts, videos, thumbnails, and source files in shared folders. Maintain a content calendar showing what has been created, approved, scheduled, and published. Review analytics and identify which topics, hooks, and formats perform best. Content Repurposing Expectations One blog should become a complete video content package that may include: One long-form YouTube video Three to five YouTube Shorts or Reels One YouTube thumbnail Video titles and descriptions Social media captions On-screen text and subtitles Suggested hooks and calls to action Source files organized for future editing You will not be responsible for researching or writing clinical information from scratch. The educational content will come from our approved blogs and materials. Your role is to transform that information into clear, compelling video content without changing the clinical meaning. Required Skills Strong video editing skills Experience creating YouTube videos and short-form vertical content CapCut, Canva, or similar editing software Excellent written English Ability to turn long articles into concise, engaging scripts Experience with subtitles, stock footage, graphics, voiceovers, and visual storytelling Understanding of YouTube titles, thumbnails, retention, and audience engagement Strong attention to detail Ability to follow brand guidelines and standard operating procedures Reliable communication and ability to meet weekly deadlines Preferred Tools & AI Experience We are building an AI-powered content creation workflow. Experience with the following tools is highly preferred: HeyGen – Create AI avatar videos and presenter-style educational content. Canva – Design YouTube thumbnails, social media graphics, infographics, and branded visual assets. CapCut Pro – Edit long-form YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok videos. ChatGPT (or similar AI tools) – Assist with script writing, content repurposing, titles, descriptions, captions, and content optimization. Suno – Create royalty-free background music and audio for videos when appropriate. WordPress – Upload and optimize blog and video content. YouTube Studio – Optimize titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, chapters, and SEO. AI Workflow Your role is to transform our evidence-based blogs into engaging multimedia content by combining AI tools with creative editing. You should be comfortable learning and using new AI platforms as they become available and recommending better workflows that improve quality and efficiency.
