About the Role
OutsourcedIn is partnering with a fast-growing Australian business seeking a highly skilled Short-Form Video Editor & Social Media Designer to produce engaging, high-converting content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
This is a creative-meets-performance role. You will not just “make content” — you will create scroll-stopping videos and visuals that drive engagement, leads, and sales.
We are looking for someone who understands modern attention spans, hooks, pacing, captions, and platform-specific editing styles.
Core Responsibilities
Short-Form Video Editing (Primary Focus)
- Edit 10–25 short-form videos per week (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
- Add dynamic captions (burned-in subtitles)
- Apply hooks within first 3 seconds
- Incorporate music, transitions, zoom effects, and trend formatting
- Optimise videos for vertical (9:16) format
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form cuts
Graphic Design
- Design static posts, carousels, thumbnails
- Create branded templates for consistency
- Develop ad creatives for paid campaigns
- Maintain consistent visual identity across platforms
Platform-Specific Execution
- Understand trends and editing styles per platform
- Optimise exports and dimensions correctly
- Support organic and paid social campaigns
Performance Awareness
- Collaborate with marketing team to improve content performance
- Review engagement metrics and adapt accordingly
- Test hooks, formats and messaging styles
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2+ years in social media design and video editing
- Strong experience in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro OR CapCut OR Final Cut
- After Effects (basic animation skills preferred)
- Canva (for quick-turn projects)
- Experience creating short-form content for:
- Instagram Reels
- TikTok
- YouTube Shorts
- Strong understanding of:
- Hooks
- Retention
- Call-to-action placement
- Social trends
- Experience working with Australian or Western brands preferred
