Social Media & Graphic Design Specialist
While this position is remote, we strongly prefer someone located in the Philadelphia-area region (NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, etc.) who can attend occasional in-person meetings at our Exton, PA office, approximately 2–3 times per year.
At Petnovations, Inc., our passion is pets and the people who love them. As the home of CatGenie, we are looking for a creative, energetic Social Media & Graphic Design Specialist to help bring our brand, products, and story to life.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can take an idea from concept to finished content. You will create graphics, photography, and video for marketing campaigns, social media, email, website, apps, customer support, and promotional materials.
You will work closely with the rest of the marketing team to develop creative that strengthens the CatGenie brand, engages our community, and supports our business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong graphic design skills with photography, videography, social media knowledge, and a genuine understanding of what makes content compelling.
What You'll DoGraphic Design for Ads & Visual Storytelling
- Develop new and refresh existing visual assets for marketing/advertising campaigns, social media, email, website, apps, and promotional materials.
- Create compelling graphics and visual content that communicate CatGenie's products, benefits, and brand story.
- Shoot, edit, organize, and maintain photography and video assets for use across marketing channels.
- Create and edit short- and long-form video content for social media, advertising, website, and customer support.
- Develop creative concepts and visual storytelling that align with CatGenie/Petnovations' strategic marketing objectives.
- Help strengthen and maintain a consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms.
- Apply strong knowledge of composition, color theory, typography, visual identity, and brand standards to create high-quality creative.
- Update website imagery and basic page content as needed. Web development or technical experience is a plus, but not required.
- Proactively recommend creative ideas, new content opportunities, and ways to improve the effectiveness of our visual communication.
- Manage and organize creative files and assets so they are easily accessible and usable by the team.
Social Media
- Support the execution of Petnovations/CatGenie's social media strategy as part of the marketing team.
- Create engaging, platform-appropriate content for social media, including graphics, photography, video, reels, and other short-form content.
- Help maintain a consistent and recognizable visual presence across social channels.
- Assist with scheduling and publishing content to ensure consistent posting.
- Manage creative timelines and deliver assets on schedule.
- Stay current with social media trends, formats, and creative best practices and identify opportunities to apply them to the CatGenie brand.
- Help develop content that builds engagement, community, brand awareness, and ultimately supports business growth.
About You
- Experience creating and managing content for social media platforms.
- Strong graphic design experience demonstrated through a portfolio.
- Professional or demonstrated experience with photography and videography.
- Strong creative instincts and a good eye for design, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Strong understanding of photography and videography, including shooting, editing, and producing digital content.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Comfortable creating content independently from concept through final production.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Able to take direction while also bringing your own creative ideas and perspective to the team.
- A genuine love of cats and understanding of cat owners and their relationship with their pets. Cat ownership is key to the position.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with video editing software and short-form social video.
- Experience with website content management or basic web editing.
- Experience creating content for paid social advertising.
- Understanding of social media analytics and performance marketing.
- Experience with consumer products, e-commerce, pet products, or direct-to-consumer brands.
Pay Range:
$45-$50K
Heath Insurance (No co-pay for Individual)
$50 per month Internet reimbursement
