Freelance Bandana Designer

About Us:

We’re Pink Tongue, a mission-driven brand that creates bold, stylish dog bandanas to help shelter dogs get adopted. Our products are worn by thousands of dogs across the country — and we’re just getting started.

The Role:

We’re looking for a freelance textile or surface pattern designer to fully own the bandana design process — from creative concept to production-ready artwork.

You’ll receive:

• Clear creative direction and themes
• Examples of past designs and what’s worked
• Straightforward, collaborative feedback

You’ll deliver:

• Multiple options per concept (we like to choose!)
• 5–15 finalized bandana designs per month
• Print-ready files (either seamless/repeat patterns or centered artwork)
• Files formatted for screen printing or digital textile printing
• This is a hands-on design role — we’re looking for someone who can create original artwork and finalize it for print. No templates, no half-finished files.

Qualifications:

• A portfolio showcasing illustration, fabric, or apparel design work
• Experience using at least one digital illustration tool (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, Photoshop, or similar)
• Ability to deliver production-ready files
• Open to all experience levels — we care about quality, not titles
• Can work independently and consistently deliver great designs

Estimated Workload:

Approx. 20 hours/month, depending on your speed and process

Goal is 5–15 finalized designs per month, with multiple concepts per brief

Compensation:

• $175 per finalized design
• We’ll select from the options you submit and pay for the ones we use
• Ongoing freelance work with long-term potential
