Freelance Illustrator

An Illustrator is required to create cover illustrations for a series of children's books focused on supervised contact experiences for children and families. The books will be tailored to four different age groups—3–5 years, 5–10 years, 10–13 years, and 13–16 years—and each group will require a distinct cover design that is developmentally appropriate, comforting, and hopeful. While each cover should reflect the age group it’s intended for, the overall design should maintain a consistent and cohesive visual style across the series. The illustrations should align with the themes of safety, positivity, and support. This is a remote opportunity with the potential for future work upon successful completion of this initial commission.

Requirements

• Proven experience in illustrating children’s books, preferably across a range of age groups
• Ability to design age-appropriate, emotionally sensitive, and cohesive cover artwork
• Strong understanding of color, tone, and composition tailored to children’s content
• Ability to adapt illustration style while maintaining consistency across a book series
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Must be available for remote collaboration
• Familiarity with themes related to children’s emotional well-being and family dynamics is a plus
• Availability to complete the project within the agreed timeframe
