Freelance Illustrator

Join an exciting new hospitality venture in London as a freelance illustrator, where your creative vision will help shape the visual identity of a soon-to-open hybrid hotel. This role focuses on designing original t-shirt artwork for staff uniforms and branded merchandise, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality, community, and innovative guest experiences. The hotel features a unique blend of pods, cabins, and private rooms, complemented by a vibrant social space offering local baked goods, specialty coffee, and curated evening menus. Your illustrations will play a key role in expressing the brand’s values and enhancing its presence within the hospitality sector. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the brand team to interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling t-shirt illustrations.
• Develop artwork that aligns with the hotel’s identity, emphasizing community, quality, and innovation.
• Produce print-ready digital files suitable for various merchandise applications, including staff uniforms and retail items.
• Present initial concepts and iterate designs based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Ensure all artwork meets technical specifications for screen printing and other production methods.
• Manage project timelines to deliver high-quality illustrations within agreed deadlines.

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience as an illustrator, preferably with a portfolio featuring apparel or merchandise design.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant design tools.
• Ability to interpret brand guidelines and create artwork that resonates with a hospitality audience.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of print production processes and requirements for apparel.
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through illustration.
• Availability for remote collaboration, with flexibility to accommodate feedback and revisions.
• Based in the UK or able to work within UK time zones is preferred.
