Who Is PLAYA3ULL?

**

Welcome to PLAYA3ULL Games, where gaming meets innovation! Since our launch in February 2022, we've been on a mission to redefine the gaming industry by transforming gaming into an asset class. At PLAYA3ULL, we believe gamers deserve actual ownership of their in-game assets—with the freedom to buy, sell, and trade them as they wish. Our games, available on the Epic Games Store, are designed to be fun first, free-to-play, and powered by blockchain technology, putting the power of ownership directly into players' hands. Join us as we reshape the future of gaming!

Art Lead – Hands-On + AI Innovator:

**

Remote Position | Full-Time | Up to USD$85,000 per annum

PLAYA3ULL GAMES is looking for a rare breed: a hands-on Art Lead who can both create stunning game art and help us build the AI-driven pipelines of the future.

You’ll oversee the visual direction of all our titles. Still, more importantly, you’ll roll up your sleeves and work directly in Unreal Engine 5, sculpting environments, fine-tuning materials, and pushing assets across the finish line. At the same time, you’ll lead the charge in our AI department, training models, guiding automation tools, and designing workflows that allow small teams to create on a massive scale.

This is a startup-style position. That means autonomy, rapid iteration, and the opportunity to make a significant impact across all our projects.

**

What You’ll Own:

**

Define and enforce the visual style and quality across all PLAYA3ULL titles.

Get hands-on in Unreal Engine 5 to create, fix, or optimise art assets, especially in procedural systems like PCG, materials, and world-building tools.

Have a high-level understanding of Open World Environment tools, including (but not limited to) Oceanology, Brushify, Ultra Dynamic Sky, as well as Splines for Rivers, roads, fences, etc.

Build and iterate on our AI-assisted art pipeline, training models, curating datasets, and collaborating with engineers to ensure that the output meets your standards.

Develop scalable workflows that blend human creativity with machine assistance.

Collaborate with designers, engineers, and leadership to align visuals with gameplay and performance goals.

Act as a mentor and example-setter: showing the team what’s possible when art, tech, and ambition come together.

**

You Should Have:

**

A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality 3D environments, characters, or VFX.

Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Artist in Unreal Engine 5 - especially working with Nanite, Lumen, PCG, shaders, or optimisation, including the ability to understand and work within the parameters of rigging, textures and optimisation required to launch a streamlined product.

Comfort with technical art challenges: you enjoy solving problems, not just making things pretty.

Hands-on experience with AI art tools: whether it’s Stable Diffusion, ControlNet, ComfyUI, or custom-trained systems.

An experimental mindset: you’re not afraid to try, fail, and try again until something works.

A collaborative attitude: you know how to work fast, talk straight, and build cool stuff in small teams.

**

Bonus Points For:

**

Scripting skills (Python, Blueprint, Houdini, etc.).

Experience building tools or plugins for artists.

A background in crypto, blockchain, or web-integrated gaming.

Love of survival games, MOBAs, or open-world experiences.

**

Compensation & Perks Salary:

**

Up to USD$85,000 per annum, based on experience and fit.

Be part of an AI-first game studio redefining how games get made.

Creative freedom, no corporate red tape, and the chance to leave your mark on something big.

**

Let’s Build the Future of Game Art:

**

If you’re the kind of artist who loves to create, code, and experiment, and you believe AI is a creative ally, not a threat, then we want you at PLAYA3ULL.
