Freelance Animator – Black History Music Series

Join an exciting project dedicated to bringing Black history to children through engaging rap songs, hip hop beats, and vibrant characters. This role focuses on animating pre-designed characters, ensuring their movements are synchronized with music for short, dynamic videos. The initial assignment covers a single project, with the possibility of ongoing work as the series expands to YouTube. You will play a key part in making educational content accessible and entertaining for young audiences, contributing to a mission-driven creative team. Deliverables

• Rig and animate existing character models for music videos, each 1:30–2:00 minutes in length
• Ensure character movements are expressive, fluid, and in sync with the rhythm and mood of the music
• Collaborate with creative leads to maintain consistency in character style and animation quality
• Deliver final animated sequences ready for integration with audio tracks
• Meet project deadlines and communicate progress effectively

Requirements

• Proven experience in character rigging and animation, preferably for music or children’s content
• Proficiency with animation software such as After Effects, Toon Boom, or similar tools
• Strong sense of timing and rhythm to match character movement with music
• Ability to work with existing character designs and adapt to established visual styles
• Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for storytelling through animation
• Reliable internet connection and availability for remote collaboration
• Portfolio or examples of previous animation work, especially music-driven or educational projects
