Architect & Design Development Manager

PPG Industries Field Based - Remote Exciting and unique sales role for our Architectural Coatings business. As an Architect and Design Development Manager, you will establish, maintain, and grow PPG architectural specification share across both private and public sector projects. This is a field-based role covering the Scotland and the North of England. You will report to the Commercial Specification Controller. Key Responsibilities

• Adopt a consultative approach to selling, demonstrating outstanding networking and project management skills to help influence major construction and refurbishment projects.
• Develop a network of A&D practises and in-house Client Architects, establishing relationships using both traditional and digital business development methods.
• Develop strategic account plans for the top A&D practices, working with other A&D Managers to get understanding where practices have multi office locations across the UK.
• Develop specifications to meet the needs of the project, ensuring they are as unique as possible to PPG to minimise risk of substitution.
• Identify the 'Decision-making Unit', understanding the balance of influence across the partners, working with them across the contractor chain on all PPG specifications to ensure they are secured.
• Work collaboratively to manage specified projects through the lead specification stages to the sales opportunity pipeline conversion.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree standard or qualified through appropriate levels of experience.
• 3 or more years experience selling either a major brand product or service into the commercial arena.
• Sound Construction product knowledge, with a firm understanding of the Architect and Design industry and the Specification market place.
