Role Description The User Interface Designer will work full time in a remote capacity, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and UX teams to create intuitive, visually cohesive interfaces across PPLIED’s platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and refining UI components, building high-fidelity mockups, and ensuring consistency in visual design across web and mobile experiences. The role involves translating user needs and product requirements into clean, accessible interfaces, partnering with front-end developers to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately. The designer will participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and contribute to the evolution of PPLIED’s design system to maintain a unified product experience.
Qualifications
- Strong user interface design and user experience (UX) skills, with the ability to turn requirements into intuitive, user-centered interfaces.
- Proficiency in visual design and mockup creation using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Basic to intermediate understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience designing for web platforms and responsive layouts, with attention to accessibility and usability best practices.
- Portfolio demonstrating UI design work for digital products, including examples of design process and rationale.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in interaction design, graphic design, HCI, or a related field.
- Experience with design systems, component libraries, and iterative design based on user feedback is a plus.
