Senior Marketing Specialist (Agency-side)
Job Description
Posted on: April 11, 2026
- Remote (UK-based)
- £37,500 – £45,000 salary
- Full-Time, Permanent
So, who is PRISM⁵⁵?
We're a fractional marketing agency but there is a bit more to it. We support ambitious, growth-focused businesses who have realised their marketing strategy and activity is key to achieving their revenue ambitions, but maybe aren't at the stage where building a full in-house team makes financial sense. Instead of hiring a Marketing Manager, a Content Executive, paid media expert and a CMO separately, our clients get all of that plus all the marketing agency resources they need in one flexible, joined-up solution.
For the clients we work with we're not a supplier, or an add-on, but part of their marketing team. No random handoffs, no gaps in ownership … strategy, management, expertise and execution all live under one roof.
What's the role?
We're hiring a Senior Marketing Specialist as part of the delivery of our services, ensuring strategy and plans are executed at the highest level.
You'll be working across a portfolio of clients as part of their extended and embedded marketing function, executing the marketing activity that's been planned and directed by a PRISM⁵⁵ CMO and closely with the appropriate Client Services lead. You're the experienced hand who brings marketing plans to life and raises the bar on what great execution looks like.
As a senior member of our delivery team you will be working on more complex campaigns and deliverables as well as working hand-in-hand without agency experts such as our paid media consultant or graphic design team. Not only will that mean you will be producing great emails or writing social posts that actually stop the scroll but looking at what has been done before and adjusting it to create better performance or outcomes for our clients. And as a Senior Marketing Specialist it is important to be able to engage with clients to identify and clarify information and also validate and justify challenges received directly by clients. This requires strong judgement, effective decision-making, and knowing what to change and why to deliver their marketing objectives.
So whether you are crafting website updates or co-ordinating the delivery of a white paper, you're thinking about the brief, spotting what could be better, and bringing your experience to bear on how the final output lands.
You'll be guided by senior people above you, but the quality of the execution, how to improve it, and the ultimate responsibility for how things perform, not just whether they were delivered, sits with you. And at PRISM⁵⁵, we take the quality of our output seriously.
What will I actually be doing day-to-day?
Every day looks a little different, but here's what you'll be regularly getting stuck into:
- Executing marketing campaigns and activity across channels like email, social media, web content, blogs, and more that is accurate and to brief.
- Writing, editing and producing on-brand content for multiple clients, adapting tone and style for each audience.
- Scheduling and publishing social media content across platforms, making sure it lands the way it should.
- Building and deploying email campaigns, with close attention to copy, formatting, and the details that make the difference and drives performance.
- Working with other members of the operations function, specifically offering advice and a second pair of eyes to more inexperienced marketing specialists within the team.
- Making website updates and applying SEO basics to keep client sites current and performing.
- Pulling together performance reports and summarising what the numbers are telling us for review by the senior members of the team and Client Services.
- Supporting events and promotional activity with the hands-on tasks that make them happen
- Flagging ideas and taking ownership to make improvements when you spot them, proactively spotting problems before they are pointed out, and improving work without being asked.
- We want people who stay curious, want to generate continuous improvement, and aren’t afraid to implement those changes (rather than wait for someone else to tell them to do it!).
Is this the right role for you?
It might be, if you can say yes to most of these:
- You have hands-on marketing experience from various sectors and/or audiences and are confident executing across core different channels as part of simple and complex campaigns.
- You are a doer who gets satisfaction from producing great work, hitting deadlines, and seeing campaigns perform or projects delivered well.
- You care about quality and detail, so you notice when the image doesn’t match an email’s core message or that a landing page is missing a focussed call to action to drive response.
- You can juggle multiple deadlines and priorities without losing focus or letting standards slip.
- You can write well, adapt your voice switching between brand tones and audience types.
- You're organised and reliable and want to grow and learn.
- Familiarity with using different marketing tools and platforms and is experienced in learning and upskilling themselves on new ones.
What's the package?
- £37,500 -£45,000 base salary
- Fully remote or the option for Hybrid working in Exeter.
- Whole company meet-ups (various locations)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- MacBook so you're always set up to deliver
- Genuine career development with day-one exposure to CMO-level strategy, senior marketing management, and specialist expertise
