E-Commerce Funnel Developer (Shopify + Funnelish + Tracking) — Contract/Remote

Location: Remote · Type: [Contract / Part-time / Full-time — pick one] · Rate: [your range, e.g. $15–45/hr depending on experience]

Who we're looking for

We run a direct-to-consumer e-commerce operation and need a developer who can build fast, high-converting funnels and product pages — and just as importantly, make sure every sale is tracked accurately so our ad spend works.

This is a hands-on build role, not a "set up a template" role. You should be equally comfortable writing code and caring about whether a page actually converts. If you can only do one of those, this isn't the right fit.

What you'll do
  • Build and optimize sales funnels in Funnelish and landing/product pages in GemPages
  • Customize Shopify themes — Liquid, Online Store 2.0 sections, metafields, app integrations
  • Write clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; debug issues across browsers and devices
  • Set up and maintain conversion tracking: Meta Pixel, TikTok, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager (dataLayer, custom events)
  • Implement server-side tracking — Meta Conversions API (CAPI), server-side GTM, and event deduplication
  • Wire up fulfillment and backend integrations (e.g. DSers/AutoDS, webhooks, Zapier/Make automations) between Shopify and our fulfillment flow
  • Keep pages fast — monitor and improve page speed / Core Web Vitals
  • Handle consent and privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA consent mode) so tracking fires correctly and legally
Must-have skills
  • Proven Shopify development (Liquid + custom code, not just app configuration)
  • Hands-on experience with Funnelish and GemPages (or directly comparable funnel/page builders — tell us which)
  • Strong front-end coding: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Real conversion-tracking experience: pixels, GTM, and server-side tracking / Conversions API
  • Comfort with APIs, webhooks, and fulfillment integrations
  • Clear written and spoken English, and reliable communication during agreed working hours
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Clarity — installing the tracking code and setting up page/session tracking, heatmaps, and recordings
  • Klaviyo or other email/SMS flow setup
  • An eye for design — or a portfolio that shows pages that look good and convert
  • Experience working with paid-ads teams (Meta/Google/TikTok)
