Freelance Jewelry CAD Technician (Rhino3D)

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Jewelry CAD Technician to translate complex creative concepts into production-ready 3D models. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing constraints and a commitment to technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced 3D Modeling: Develop high-precision models using Rhino3D, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications and aesthetic proportions.
• Design for Manufacturing (DfM): Optimize models for lost-wax casting, including precise calculation of metal shrinkage, wall thicknesses, and structural integrity.
• Technical Setting Preparation: Expertly prepare stone seats, prongs, and bead settings (grain setting, channel, pavé) according to master-setter requirements.
• Production Deliverables: Provide watertight, high-resolution .STL files and comprehensive technical data sheets.
• Visualization: Generate professional photorealistic renders for internal validation and client presentations.

Candidate Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Rhino3D is mandatory. Additional experience with Grasshopper, RhinoGold, or MatrixGold is highly valued.
• Rigorous Standards: Ability to manage complex assemblies and provide clean, organized files for downstream production.
• Communication: Fluent English (written and spoken) and ability to work autonomously within a remote professional environment.
