Experienced VDC Structural Steel Detailer - REMOTE

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established total building solutions provider with multiple locations across the United States to assist in hiring an experienced VDC Structural Steel Detailer. Open to working at any of the regional offices: La Mirada CA, Columbus OH, Charlotte, NC or remote! If interested, please email CieraMayes@realrepp.com.Key Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural & engineering drawings, specs & other documentation
• Have an understanding of how steel is involved in all aspects of construction
• Create 3D models with Advance Steel
• Produce fabrication packages for structural & miscellaneous steel projects
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of drawings
• Ensure compliance with all codes (IFC, UFC, CBC, etc.)
• Complete 3d model checks
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to run multiple projects at any given time

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Drafting (preferred)
• 5+ years detail/design experience
• Knowledge of steel detailing standard approval process
• Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, welding procedures, installation processes
• Proficiency with Advanced Steel, Tekla, Revit, SDS2, Navisworks, Bluebeam & BIM360
• In-depth understanding of AISC codes & AWS
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
• Strong organizational skills

Compensation Package

• Base Salary $80-110k (range based on experience)
