Role Description

We are seeking a talented Pixel Artist & Animator to join our creative team in a full-time, fully remote role. As a Pixel Artist & Animator at Red Sky Games, you will be responsible for creating visually captivating pixel art, developing character animations, and ensuring assets are consistent with the game’s art style. You will take part in the final stretch of development of Two Sides of Hell, creating environment props, enemies, and brutal bossfights.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in pixel art creation and animation, including character design and environmental assets
  • Experience with 2D animation tools and techniques, such as frame-by-frame animation, sprite design, and environment creation
  • Understanding of game design principles and the ability to collaborate with developers and team members to ensure visual cohesion
  • Expertise in color theory, shading, and design principles specific to pixel art
  • Strong communication and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of creativity to create engaging and innovative visual content
  • Experience with game engines like Unity or other tools for implementing animations is a plus
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work in pixel art and animation (mandatory)

About This Job

Being close to release, we are in need of a good helping hand to produce game content faithful to the IP quickly. We are open to hiring up to 2 artists for this position. If your experience goes beyond pixel art, we will likely consider keeping you for our future AA project.
