Commitment: Ongoing weekly content.

Type: Freelance / Contract (Flexible or Full-Time Opportunities).

Remuneration: Flexible (per article, day rate or monthly retainer).

ABOUT RENOVATING FOR PROFIT

Renovating For Profit is one of Australia’s most established & trusted renovation education companies with over 17 years of experience in property, renovation & real estate.

As part of our next phase of growth, we’re expanding beyond investor-focused property renovation and launching a new brand and division dedicated exclusively to everyday homeowners.

This new initiative is all about helping people renovate their own homes to live in from improving functionality and layout to creating beautiful, personalised spaces. Our goal is to give homeowners knowledge and the confidence to make smarter decisions and avoid costly mistakes.

We’ll be delivering practical, real-world advice across renovation, interior design, property styling and lifestyle, supported by high-quality content, products & courses designed to guide homeowners through every step of their renovation journey.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re building a team of high-performing writers to help launch this new division in 2026. This is not a “take a brief and write an article” role.

We’re looking for people who can:

  • Think editorially.
  • Spot opportunities before they hit mainstream.
  • Contribute ideas that actually grow a content platform.
  • Write content that is engaging, useful & credible.

Multiple roles are available with fully remote, flexible working arrangements.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Writing short & long-form articles for weekly distribution.

• Help plan & refine weekly & monthly content calendars.

• Pitch timely, relevant & high-impact article ideas.

• Source information from renovators, architects, designers & builders.

• Stay ahead of new projects, product launches & industry trends.

• Know where to find exclusive or early information & how to verify it.

• Assist in the creation of course content & eBook materials.

• Interview industry experts & translate insights into engaging content.

• Write strong headlines & hooks that drive clicks & engagement.

• Develop supporting content tied to courses & digital products.

• Identify SEO opportunities & contribute to content performance.

• Analyse what’s working & refining future content accordingly.

ABOUT YOU

You’re not just a writer, you’re commercially aware & editorially sharp.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have strong experience in writing or journalism (digital preferred).

• Think beyond individual articles & understand content strategy.

• Know how to source information from industry professionals & credible sources

• Can turn complex renovation or design ideas into simple, practical advice.

• Understand how Australians speak, read & engage with content.

• Are proactive, organised & reliable.

BONUS POINT IF YOU:

• Already have industry contacts.

• Have worked in home, renovation, design or lifestyle media.

• Understand SEO & content performance.

• Have hands-on renovation, building or design experience.

• Can write conversion-driven content (sales pages, email, landing pages)

REMUNERATION:

We are engaging multiple writers & can offer flexible structures to suit the applicant.
