Full Stack Developer for Top 5 Grossing Education App

Full Stack Developer (Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Web Application)About the Role: 

Route-Led is the publisher of the Driving Test Routes App which is a Top 5 Grossing Education App available in 27 countries worldwide.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to help enhance, scale, and maintain our server-side applications and internal web platform. You will be working on APIs consumed by mobile and web applications, as well as maintain and extend our internal web console used by our support and content production teams. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs for consumption by mobile and web applications. 
• Design, build, and maintain web application interfaces using front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
• Collaborate with our mobile developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems. 
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the server application, providing input on technology choices and implementation strategies. 

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Strong programming experience in Java and Kotlin for backend development. 
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). 
• Proficiency in Spring Boot or similar Java/Kotlin frameworks. 
• Experience working with AWS infrastructure services (EC2 for hosting, RDS for database management, Cognito for user authentication, Elastic Beanstalk for deployment). 
• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and writing efficient SQL queries. 
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles and best practices. 
• Familiarity with Git and modern source control practices. 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience integrating App Store Server Notifications and/or Google Play Real-time Developer Notifications. 
• Familiarity with Thymeleaf or similar server-side templating engines. 
• Experience with Bootstrap and DataTables for building responsive admin web interfaces. 
• Exposure to working with mapping APIs such as Mapbox.
