Mobile Solution Architect

EPAM, named a #1 tech company in the US by Forbes, is looking to build and strengthen our Mobile Practice Globally by identifying a talented Mobile Solution Architect to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess skills that make them a subject matter expert in Digital products, with background in Mobile apps, and coupled with the ability to work closely with delivery, manage client relationships, and act as a leader within the practice. Responsibilities

• Develop proposals for implementation and design of Digital and Mobile architecture with domain knowledge in Android, iOS, and Mobile Development Platforms
• Design end-to-end architecture including frontend, web services, middle tier, and backend
• Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement mobile solutions, which include reference architectures, estimates, and costing
• Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and business development in various digital and mobile technology areas
• Advise business and technology delivery leadership on how to translate the client’s digital business requirements into digital technology solutions
• Participate in customers’ workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solution
• Perform analysis of best practices and emerging concepts in digital/mobile applications, mobile devices, operating systems, and backend-as-a-service
• Act as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams, and support
• Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for digital and mobile solutions and delivery
• Review and audit existing solutions, design, and system architecture
• Serve as a digital and mobile evangelist, providing thought leadership, participating in conferences, authoring white papers, etc.
• Mentor colleagues who are moving toward the Solution Architecture title
• Profile, troubleshoot existing solutions
• Create technical documentation

Requirements

• 2+ years in the position of Solution Architect
• 5+ architecture design and review activities for the last two years
• 5+ pre-sale activities with exposure to customers for the last two years
• Strong knowledge of digital technologies with development experience
• Background and production experience in at least one of the following mobile technologies: iOS Native (Swift and/or Objective-C), Android Native (Kotlin and/or Android Java), React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript), Flutter (Dart)
• Demonstrated project management experience in Agile (Scrum), which includes project planning, execution, risk management, and resource management
• Strong knowledge and expertise in mobile solution delivery and strategy
• Deep knowledge and experience in two or more of the following: eCommerce, Content Management, Media & Entertainment, Financial, or Cloud
• Solid knowledge of design patterns and refactoring concepts
• Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis
• Solid technical expertise & troubleshooting skills
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
• Fluent oral and written English

• Prior consulting, advisory, or professional services experience
• Active community member and contributor to open-source projects
