Freelance Social Media Manager

Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Social Media Manager to join our Communications Team, working from home. You will join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract for 1 year to cover Maternity Leave, and in return, you will receive a salary of up to £40,307 per annum.

Location: Home Based with National travel

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Requirements:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism) or significant experience in a similar digital content role.

- Strong understanding of social media platforms, strategies, and best practices.

- Experience developing paid advertising campaigns.

- Knowledge of tactics to appeal to different audiences and follower bases.

- Understanding of analytics and tools.

- Awareness of trends in social media platforms.

Skills:

- Excellent and on-brand copywriting with the ability to adapt style for different audiences and platforms.

- Creative thinking, with an eye on trends and popular topics.

- Sound judgment and the ability to recognize issues that need attention.

- Numeracy skills to keep track of monthly budget spend.

- Problem-solving, team management, stakeholder and community engagement.

- An eye for design, data analysis, and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Experience:

- Proven managerial and work experience.

- Working professionally on a range of social media platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

- Developing engaging content calendars and campaigns.

- Setting up, running, and reporting on paid advertising campaigns.

- Helping to provide high-quality community management and managing busy inboxes.
