Digital Marketing Specialist

Streetlight Digital is seeking a passionate and strategic Digital Marketing Specialist to join the team. Streetlight is dedicated to serving nonprofit organizations. This role focuses on marketing our agency itself, building our brand presence, generating leads, and attracting new nonprofit clients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Campaign Development

  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to promote our agency's services to nonprofit organizations
  • Create integrated marketing campaigns that generate leads, build brand awareness, and position the agency as a thought leader in nonprofit marketing
  • Conduct market research to identify target nonprofit segments and understand their marketing and fundraising challenges
  • Develop positioning strategies that differentiate our agency from competitors in the nonprofit services space

Digital Channel Management

  • Oversee multi-channel digital marketing initiatives including email marketing, social media, content marketing, and SEO/SEM to reach nonprofit decision-makers
  • Manage email campaigns targeting nonprofit executives and development directors
  • Develop social media strategies that showcase our expertise, share success stories, and engage with the nonprofit community

Content Creation & Management

  • Lead content strategy and creation that demonstrates our agency's expertise in nonprofit marketing and fundraising
  • Create compelling case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, and webinar content that showcase client success stories
  • Develop thought leadership content that positions our team as experts in nonprofit marketing trends and best practices
  • Manage content calendars and ensure consistent brand voice across all agency communications
  • Create and oversee video content, infographics, and other multimedia assets that highlight our services and results

Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and future CRM platform
  • Track key performance indicators including lead generation, website traffic, content engagement, and conversion rates
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve lead quality and campaign effectiveness
  • Prepare regular performance reports for leadership team and contribute to business development strategy

Lead Generation & Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with strategy teams to create marketing materials and campaigns that support sales efforts
  • Develop and manage webinar series, virtual events, and other lead generation initiatives
  • Create marketing qualified leads through strategic content marketing and targeted outreach
  • Support conference and industry event marketing to build agency visibility and generate prospects

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in B2B marketing or agency/professional services marketing
  • Proven track record of successful lead generation campaigns and measurable business growth results
  • Experience in nonprofit organization or supporting nonprofit organizations

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of social media management tools and B2B advertising platforms (especially LinkedIn)
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Squarespace and other digital marketing tools
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead management platforms
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and content management systems

Core Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to create compelling B2B content
  • Strong project management abilities with attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and optimize for lead generation
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about business development
  • Understanding of B2B sales cycles and lead nurturing processes

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 with bonus potential

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Location: This is a remote position. Only applicants located in the following states will be considered: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Pennsylvania.
