About Us:

We’re an eCommerce email & SMS marketing agency that works with growing online brands. We create and distribute high-value content for founders and marketing leaders, and we’re looking for a part-time Social Media Manager to own distribution and help us turn that content into reach, leads, and relationships.

Role Overview:

You’ll be responsible for turning our existing content (newsletters, long-form pieces, internal docs) into platform native posts and getting them in front of the right people. This is not a “come up with random memes” role. Your job is to execute a consistent content system: schedule, optimise, and report.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upload & Schedule Content
  • Upload, schedule, and publish content across LinkedIn and other key platforms (e.g. Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
  • Ensure posts go out at optimal times based on performance data.
  • Repurpose Long-Form Content
  • Turn newsletters, podcasts, and long-form content into short, platform native posts and threads.
  • Write or lightly edit copy to match platform norms and our brand voice.
  • Content Strategy & Calendar
  • Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with marketing priorities and launches.
  • Plan themes and content pillars (e.g., case studies, educational posts, behind-the-scenes content, offers).
  • Optimise for Engagement & Reach
  • Test hooks, headlines, CTAs, and formats to increase engagement and reach.
  • Use analytics to double down on what works and stop what doesn’t.
  • Community Management
  • Monitor and respond to comments and DMs across platforms.
  • Flag high-intent conversations and leads to the marketing/sales team.
  • Reporting & Insights
  • Track performance metrics (followers, impressions, engagement rate, clicks, leads).
  • Provide a concise monthly report with insights and recommendations.
  • Trend & Opportunity Spotting
  • Identify content trends, formats, and topics relevant to eCommerce, email marketing, and founders.
  • Proactively suggest content ideas based on what’s working in the market.
  • Cross-Team Coordination
  • Coordinate with marketing and leadership to align content with campaigns, launches, and offers.
  • Maintain an organised content repository (docs, assets, templates).

Requirements:

  • 1–3+ years managing social media for a brand, agency, or creator.
  • Strong writing skills and experience creating platform-native content (especially LinkedIn).
  • Comfortable with basic design/editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Descript, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scheduling/analytics tools (e.g. Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, native schedulers).
  • Data-driven: able to read basic analytics and make decisions from them.
  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working asynchronously.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in eCommerce, DTC, or marketing agencies.
  • Experience turning long-form content (newsletters, podcasts, YouTube) into short-form clips/posts.
  • Understanding of email & SMS marketing (Klaviyo, etc.).

Hours + Compensation:

Part-time role (20 hours p/wk).

$40,000 p/a + super.

Remote working.

Potential to transition into a full-time role.
