Job Title: Web Design Specialist
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $65–$70 per hour
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
The Web Design Specialist plays a key role in supporting the organization’s marketing initiatives by delivering high-quality digital design solutions. This role is responsible for the conceptual development, direction, delivery, and production of visual designs that align with marketing strategies and brand guidelines. Working with moderate direction, the specialist will collaborate with internal teams to translate creative concepts into engaging digital experiences across multiple platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Design & Creative Development
- Design digital assets including websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and social media graphics.
- Create visually compelling designs for corporate websites, microsites, marketing campaigns, and social channels.
- Apply strong conceptual thinking to develop high-quality creative solutions across multiple platforms.
- Translate creative concepts into polished design deliverables.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate design concepts, ideas, and rationale clearly to design leadership and stakeholders.
- Present creative concepts to stakeholders and obtain approvals when required.
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, project managers, and marketing teams.
- Work closely with front-end developers and assist with development on smaller projects when needed.
Strategy & Brand Consistency
- Develop creative concepts based on customer needs, market research, and technical considerations.
- Ensure all creative work aligns with brand standards and maintains a consistent user experience.
- Create and maintain digital style guides and brand guidelines.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Manage design approval workflows when required.
- Follow established processes for naming, organizing, and archiving creative assets.
- Propose improvements to design workflows to increase efficiency and asset adoption.
- Stay informed on the latest creative, design, and web trends.
Additional Responsibilities
- Design print materials when needed.
- Participate in project discussions to gather requirements and define goals.
- Provide guidance to team members during the creative process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a web design role.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD) and Sketch.
- Experience designing digital marketing assets including websites, landing pages, and email campaigns.
- Strong visual design skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and creatively.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and WordPress.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and digital user experience best practices.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and API integrations.
- Excellent verbal communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
