About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Principal Consultant to join our Autodesk Global Consulting Delivery team within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Services group in North America. This role is pivotal in driving transformational change for our largest clients by leveraging digital design, engineering, and management solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and deploying innovative strategies that maximize the value of Autodesk’s products and services, integrating Artificial Intelligence and data-driven approaches as competitive advantages. This position involves leading complex consulting engagements, shaping service offerings, and fostering strong relationships with clients and internal teams. The Principal Consultant will also serve as a thought leader, representing Autodesk at industry events and contributing to the development of new consulting solutions that align with evolving industry needs. Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience in the Buildings industry, with a focus on digital design, engineering, and management solutions
- Proficiency with Autodesk products such as Revit, BIM 360, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, and others
- Strong strategic thinking, innovation, and program management skills
- Experience in change management, business process optimization, and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle processes and structured project management
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Autodesk’s largest customers to develop innovative building design, engineering, and management strategies that maximize their Autodesk investment
- Partner with Autodesk account teams to define Customer Success Plans and ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Coordinate with the Consulting Project Management team to maintain high standards of service delivery
- Shape and enhance Autodesk Consulting service offerings and delivery methods
- Engage with internal and external thought leaders to support product development and innovation
- Build trusted relationships with clients and Autodesk teams to serve as a strategic business partner
- Develop and implement innovative business and technology solutions with strategic impact
- Assist clients in driving transformational change through proven change management methodologies
- Lead workshops to identify solution opportunities and facilitate alignment on project goals
- Oversee the creation of high-quality deliverables related to design, engineering, and operational management
- Measure and document the value and impact of solutions delivered to clients
- Contribute to the development of new service offerings and expand the consulting portfolio
- Promote Autodesk Consulting’s brand through thought leadership, presentations, and published articles
- Lead project delivery teams, ensuring quality and professionalism
- Mentor junior staff to enhance their customer engagement and technical skills
- Participate in business development activities, including project estimation and proposal development
