About The Role Our multi-faceted experiential design team is seeking thoughtful and innovative minds, skilled in the arts of visual communication, imaginative storytelling, and creative problem-solving to join our team as we leverage the power of design to bridge the gap between individual, brand, and the built environment to create inspiring experiences for our clients. You will join us in addressing our client’s largest challenges and transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. As a Visual Communication Designer, you will be involved in all phases of the design process, from conceptual development through artwork production. Your role will include participating in recommendations for concepts, design, art direction, and production for a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, signage, and exhibits. Working closely with the environmental graphics team, you will design a range of graphics, maps, and print layouts for exhibits and signage, translating client needs into compelling visual solutions. Your creativity and technical skills will be essential in preparing visualizations, mockups, and camera-ready artwork for fabrication, collaborating with vendors and fabricators to ensure quality and accuracy. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field (required by hire date)
- Strong background in typography and previous related internship experience highly valued
- Demonstrated interest and skills in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design, and environments
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) on Macintosh platform
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the design process, from conceptual development to artwork production
- Provide recommendations for concepts, design, art direction, and production for graphics, signage, and exhibits
- Design two- and three-dimensional graphics, maps, and print layouts in collaboration with the environmental graphics team
- Interpret and translate client needs and ideas into innovative visual concepts
- Prepare photo visualizations and mockups of signage for placement, content, and usage
- Create camera-ready artwork suitable for fabrication processes
- Collaborate with vendors and fabricators to ensure design integrity and quality control
