About The Role Reporting to the Brand Creative Director, the Senior Graphic Designer at BILL plays a crucial role in bringing our brand to life through innovative and impactful visual storytelling. This role involves expanding and utilizing the BILL brand design system, developing comprehensive brand guidelines, style guides, and templates to ensure consistency across all marketing channels. The Senior Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality design assets for various marketing campaigns, collateral, email marketing, event signage, swag, and more. They interpret strategic creative briefs, collaborate with stakeholders, and determine the best design approaches to achieve desired outcomes. The role requires a proactive mindset, with the ability to analyze work methods, suggest process improvements, and contribute to the overall strategic goals of the marketing organization. As a key member of the Creative Studio team, the Senior Graphic Designer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, mentors junior staff, and leads projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring high standards of quality and creativity at every step. Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven impact in graphic design, with a portfolio demonstrating high-level expertise and strategic thinking
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience with creative AI tools and motion design
- Strong understanding of branding, style guides, and visual identity development
- Ability to interpret complex briefs and translate them into compelling visual solutions
- Excellent communication skills to present ideas and defend design decisions to stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ownership mindset with critical decision-making skills under pressure
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Expand and maintain the BILL brand design system, including developing brand guidelines, style guides, and templates
- Create high-impact marketing assets for campaigns, collateral, email marketing, event signage, swag, and other channels
- Interpret and execute strategic creative briefs, proposing innovative concepts aligned with business goals
- Lead projects from initial concept through to final production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide creative solutions
- Present creative work and rationale clearly to senior leadership and marketing teams
- Proactively identify potential bottlenecks, communicate project status, and suggest process improvements
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team to elevate creative output
- Manage personal career development by setting and tracking quarterly goals
