About The Role
The Staff Product Designer at Linktree plays a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across key areas of the platform. This versatile position requires a professional with a broad design skill set, capable of owning complex problems from inception to execution. The ideal candidate will set strategic direction, elevate design standards, and influence cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, research, and design systems. As a core contributor, you will be responsible for designing end-to-end solutions, from framing ambiguous problems to delivering high-quality, polished interfaces. Leveraging AI tools in your workflow, you will explore innovative approaches to prototyping and shipping features, while mentoring and inspiring other designers to raise their craft. This role demands a combination of deep product judgment, system thinking, and a genuine passion for creating impactful user experiences that serve a global community of creators and businesses.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a product designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating range and expertise
- Experience in a staff or senior-level design role, with the ability to set direction and influence teams
- Exceptional skills in product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
- Ability to work across the full design spectrum, from conceptualization to high-fidelity implementation
- Strong collaborative skills, with a low ego and high capacity for teamwork
- Experience integrating AI into design workflows and exploring new practices
- Deep system thinking and pattern design capabilities that scale across surfaces and teams
- Sharp product judgment with empathy for creators and the creator economy (a plus)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred
- Own and lead core surface areas or problem domains from framing to shipping, ensuring high standards and impactful outcomes
- Set strategic direction and elevate the quality of design work across teams and projects
- Design across the full spectrum of product development, including interaction, visual design, and prototyping to production fidelity
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and design systems teams to deliver cohesive solutions
- Leverage AI tools to enhance exploration, prototyping, and delivery processes, pushing the boundaries of current practices
- Mentor and influence other designers, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain scalable design patterns and systems that support growth and consistency
- Contribute to strategic discussions, helping define the future direction of the platform
- Ensure user-centered design principles are embedded in all projects, with empathy for the needs of creators and users
