About The Role We are seeking a creative and passionate Web Designer to join our team on a full-time remote basis. This role is ideal for a professional with at least three years of experience in responsive web design who is eager to bring innovative ideas to life through visually compelling and user-centric websites. The Web Designer will collaborate closely with our Creative Director, Project Manager, and Development Team to understand project requirements and execute all phases of the design process from inception to launch. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user interface and user experience principles, along with proficiency in modern design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch. While this position is remote, applicants from the Southern New England area are preferred, given occasional team meetups, but special considerations may be made for other qualified candidates who demonstrate strong skills and motivation. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in digital creative roles, focusing on responsive web design
  • Strong passion for visual strategy, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Understanding of information architecture and ability to improve website usability through site map restructuring
  • Knowledge of user experience best practices across various devices and platforms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or modern tools such as Figma, Sketch
  • Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry practices
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Portfolio demonstrating original designs, user experience understanding, and creative problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Project Manager, and Development Team to understand project scope and client requirements
  • Manage all phases of the design process, including content strategy, information architecture, wireframing, visual design, and quality assurance
  • Create innovative, visually engaging, and user-friendly website designs that push creative boundaries while maintaining a streamlined user experience
  • Translate high-level ideas and client needs into compelling visual solutions and interactions
  • Present and communicate design concepts effectively to internal teams and clients, incorporating feedback and research data as necessary
  • Ensure all designs adhere to established guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Optimize visual assets for web production, including icon fonts and imagery export
  • Track project timelines and manage multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
  • Stay current with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to continually enhance design quality
  • Promote a culture of design excellence within the team and contribute to the development of design standards and guidelines
