About The Role
Blacksmith is seeking a talented and motivated UI/UX Web Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative, user-centered website designs with cutting-edge interactions tailored for clients across various industries. You will lead the entire design process—from conceptualization and wireframing to final layout development—working closely with developers to translate client requirements into engaging, interactive digital experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about finding elegant solutions to complex design challenges, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is eager to contribute to a creative environment that values innovation and quality. Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional website design experience
- Proficiency in Figma
- Experience with Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Sketch (a plus)
- A strong portfolio showcasing elegant and innovative web design projects
- Motion design experience (a plus)
- Prototyping skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Lead the full design process, including creation, conceptualization, wireframing, storyboarding, and finalizing layouts for both mobile and desktop platforms
- Apply current design trends and modern branding styles to develop compelling brand narratives and visually engaging digital products
- Ensure pixel-perfect designs by obsessively attending to detail
- Identify user needs through research and insights, translating them into innovative website features and workflows
- Communicate the purpose, concepts, and thought process behind designs effectively to team members and clients
- Create cutting-edge designs for diverse clients ranging from small to enterprise-level organizations across various industries
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and demonstrate their value within the team and to stakeholders
- Collaborate with strategy and business development teams to generate new business opportunities and contribute to creative pitches
- Manage high-end projects confidently, utilizing visual skills and professional communication to motivate team members and incorporate feedback
- Participate in design critiques and iterations to refine work into polished final products
- Ensure organized management of design files, layers, and folders for seamless workflow
- Work closely with leadership throughout each project's lifecycle to meet client expectations and project goals
