About The Role Emergent Method is seeking a full-time Web Developer to join its creative services team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members and clients to understand project requirements and develop robust digital solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in web development, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain websites, implement new features, and troubleshoot issues efficiently. This position offers flexibility, including remote work options, and provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing company that values innovation and professional development. You will be instrumental in managing existing websites, creating new responsive designs, and supporting the company's expanding web service offerings. Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, digital communication, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification from a reputable coding bootcamp or demonstrated relevant experience.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience translating visual designs into functional websites and integrating them into content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with Craft CMS, WordPress, or other popular CMS platforms.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and a working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design tools such as Figma and Sketch.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and best practices.
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Svelte, SvelteKit, or similar.
- Experience with API integration and working in headless environments utilizing GraphQL.
- Working knowledge of PHP and Twig templating language.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain existing websites by updating code, content, security measures, and plugins.
- Assist in building responsive websites and applications from scratch using semantic, version-controlled code.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including designers, project managers, and clients, to understand their needs and propose effective web solutions.
- Stay current with emerging trends, principles, and techniques in web development.
- Contribute to the growth of the company's web service offerings by sharing innovative ideas and best practices.
- Test and troubleshoot websites to ensure optimal performance across devices and browsers.
- Implement and maintain API integrations to enhance website functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
