Animator

A 2D Animator is needed to create a fully colored short film lasting between 1 and 3 minutes. This is a personal creative project led by a French director, with the animation style inspired by the dynamic motion of Studio 4C and the visual aesthetic of The Secret of Kells, particularly in its backgrounds and image design. The animator will be responsible for producing all aspects of the animation, including character movement and environmental elements. The project is remote, with a target delivery date set for December 2025, and may lead to additional collaboration opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in full 2D animation, including character animation and scene composition
• Ability to emulate dynamic animation styles similar to Studio 4C
• Visual design capabilities in line with the aesthetic of The Secret of Kells
• Proficiency with industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom, TVPaint, Adobe Animate)
• Strong understanding of color, composition, and background integration
• Comfortable working independently and meeting long-term deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively in a remote setup
• A portfolio showcasing relevant 2D animation work is essential
