Join an enchanting creative project as the illustrator for a magical children’s picture book series. The first story, spanning 32 pages, is fully drafted and ready for visual storytelling. This opportunity extends beyond a single book, with seven additional stories outlined and a long-term vision for a 26-book collection—each featuring a unique fairy and animal companion. The series is designed for young readers aged 3–6, aiming to create a collectible world that sparks imagination and wonder. The project is independently published, offering either a flat fee or a royalty split, with the potential for ongoing collaboration if the partnership is a good fit.

Deliverables

- Create detailed, whimsical, and colorful illustrations for a 32-page children’s picture book

- Develop consistent character designs for recurring fairies and animal companions

- Produce high-resolution artwork suitable for print publication

- Collaborate on visual storytelling to enhance the magical, forest-inspired themes

- Prepare artwork files for Amazon KDP and future books in the series

Requirements

- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in children’s book illustration or similar whimsical, detailed styles

- Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate characters and scenes for ages 3–6

- Proficiency in digital illustration tools and techniques for high-resolution print output

- Consistency in character and style across multiple books

- Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback
