Comic Illustrator - Freelance

This role is ideal for a creative comic illustrator with a passion for educational content. You will be responsible for transforming a provided script into a visually engaging, vector-based comic designed to educate factory staff on food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (BPF). The deliverable will be a short comic, including a cover and two inside pages, formatted for print as a PDF. The aim is to create clear, accessible, and memorable materials that effectively communicate both required and prohibited behaviors in a factory setting. Your work will help ensure important safety information is noticed and retained by employees, replacing traditional newsletters with a more impactful visual approach.

Deliverables

- Design and illustrate a comic cover and two inside pages based on the provided script

- Create vector artwork suitable for high-quality PDF printing

- Develop clear, educational visuals that explain food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (BPF)

- Ensure the comic is accessible and engaging for factory staff with varying levels of literacy

- Collaborate with the project manager to ensure accuracy and clarity of information

Requirements

- Proven experience in comic illustration, preferably with educational or instructional content

- Strong skills in vector illustration and digital art tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator)

- Ability to translate written scripts into compelling visual narratives
