Freelance Digital Illustrator – Contract

This role is for a freelance illustrator skilled in transforming hand-drawn sketches into high-resolution digital artwork. The project involves creating a digital illustration that authentically replicates the look and feel of a graphite pencil sketch, suitable for large-scale reproduction on a 14-foot wall. The illustration will be used as part of an employer brand and strategy initiative, requiring a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver a scalable, production-ready file. The ideal candidate is based in Vancouver and has a strong portfolio of realistic pencil or graphite-style digital illustrations. Deliverables

• Digitally recreate an existing sketch with a realistic graphite effect
• Ensure the final artwork is scalable for a 14-foot wall installation
• Deliver a high-resolution digital file suitable for large-format printing
• Collaborate remotely with the project team to ensure the illustration meets brand and quality standards
• Complete the project within the agreed timeline

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital illustration, specifically replicating traditional graphite or pencil styles
• Proficiency with industry-standard illustration software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to match the nuances of hand-drawn sketches
