Marketing Consultant - Contract

This role is focused on empowering a team to master podcast audience growth on Spotify, specifically targeting follower acquisition for a 15–20 minute startup discovery show. The consultant will deliver a comprehensive, brand-safe system for sustainable podcast growth, emphasizing knowledge transfer over a 4-week sprint. The engagement centers on building internal capability, with a strong focus on frameworks, analytics, attribution, and actionable reporting. The consultant will guide the team through best practices in podcast marketing, content distribution, and performance measurement, ensuring all strategies are repeatable and measurable. All work is remote and tailored to a personal project environment. Deliverables

• Develop and document a repeatable system for growing Spotify podcast followers, excluding native Spotify ads.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions covering analytics, attribution, and reporting frameworks.
• Provide actionable guidance on using UTMs, SmartLinks, and GA4 for podcast tracking.
• Advise on short-form content distribution and content testing strategies.
• Deliver clear, practical reporting templates and attribution models.
• Ensure all processes are brand-safe and suitable for ongoing internal use.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in podcast marketing and audience growth, with a focus on Spotify.
• Strong experience in knowledge transfer, training, or consulting roles.
• Deep understanding of podcast analytics, attribution, and reporting tools (Spotify, GA4, UTMs, SmartLinks).
• Ability to design and communicate repeatable growth frameworks.
• Familiarity with short-form content distribution and content testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Availability for a 4-week remote engagement.
• Experience working with startups or personal projects is a plus.
