User Experience Designer – Artist Studio Website

This role is focused on elevating the digital presence of an artist studio and residency space in Setúbal by redesigning its website for improved aesthetics, structure, and user experience. The designer will conduct a comprehensive audit of the current site to pinpoint areas that lack clarity, consistency, or visual appeal. The project requires a creative professional with a strong eye for detail to reimagine the UI, refine the use of fonts, colors, spacing, and layout, and enhance the overall navigation and information flow. The ideal candidate will deliver a cohesive and elegant design that resonates with the artistic community and ensures a seamless experience across both desktop and mobile platforms. Deliverables

• Audit of the existing website to identify design and usability issues
• Redesigned UI with updated fonts, color palette, spacing, and layout rhythm
• Enhanced UX focusing on navigation, page flow, and information clarity
• Figma mockups for key pages: Home, Residency, Workshops, Events, Artist Profiles, and Contact
• Optimized mobile experience with responsive layouts
• Design assets and comprehensive guidelines for implementation on Squarespace

Requirements

• Proven experience in web and UI/UX design, preferably for creative or cultural organizations
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Squarespace design systems
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in typography, color theory, and layout
• Ability to conduct thorough website audits and translate findings into actionable design improvements
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience designing for both desktop and mobile platforms
