About Us
uhoh.com is a managed services provider that is scaling fast. Growing companies hand us their technology, from systems and security to integrations and the automation that keeps them moving, so they can get on with their own work. Our team is small, fully remote, and spread across several countries. We don't do egos, and we don't do fluff.
The Role
We need an IT Specialist who lives to solve problems. You'll support our clients directly. Requests come in through a shared channel with each client and get tracked as tickets, with project work running alongside. You'll be inside client environments every day, working in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants, on Windows and macOS endpoints, and across the long tail of SaaS each client runs their business on.
You'll be the person a client messages when their team can't reach email on a Monday morning, and the person who makes sure it doesn't happen again. If you're a systems thinker who enjoys technical troubleshooting, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
You will be the backbone of our clients' technical operations. This is a high-ownership role where you will:
- Own the Problem: Take issues from the first client message through to resolution. Access and permissions, email and deliverability, SaaS integrations, endpoints, user onboarding and offboarding.
- Infrastructure & SaaS: Administer client tenants across Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, covering identity, groups, licensing, mail routing, shared drives, and security policy.
- Security First: Implement and monitor endpoint security, including MFA, patch management, and access review. You'll be our clients' first line of defense in incident response.
- Systems Architecture: Assist with cloud infrastructure management, data backups, and disaster recovery planning across client environments.
- Automation & Integrations: Connect the systems our clients run, using tools like Zapier, n8n, MCPs, and native APIs. You'll get protected time each week to turn repeat tickets into automations that stop them coming back.
- AI in the Workflow: We lean on AI hard. It's how a small team supports a large client base. You'll use it daily to research, script, draft, and troubleshoot.
- Knowledge Sharing: Document processes and create technical guides that actually make sense.
What You Bring
- Technical Versatility: Proven experience supporting multiple client organizations at once, whether MSP, IT outsourcing, or similar. You know why supporting fifteen companies differs from supporting one.
- Access and Identity Depth: Most of this job is getting the right people into the right systems and keeping everyone else out. You are comfortable with MFA, passkeys, shared credentials, and password managers such as 1Password or JumpCloud, across a long list of platforms rather than one.
- Cloud Fluency: Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Not “I've used the admin console.” You've untangled inherited permissions, fixed mail flow, and recovered what someone deleted.
- AI Fluency: You already use AI as part of how you work, and you know where it's strong and where it isn't. Pasting something you don't understand into a client's tenant is the failure mode we're screening against.
- Clear Writing: Nearly all client contact is text, with business owners who aren't technical. Explaining a problem clearly while you're still solving it is most of the job.
- Security Mindset: You understand the “why” behind cybersecurity best practices and can enforce them without slowing the team down.
- Problem-Solving DNA: You don't just fix symptoms; you find root causes.
- Education/Certs: We value documented skills and real-world experience at least as much as a degree. CompTIA A+, MS-900, and the Google IT Support Certificate are all welcome. SC-300, MD-102, or the Professional Google Workspace Administrator stand out, and so do five years of doing the work without any of them. Help desk or client support experience is a plus.
The Vibe
- No Ego: We care about the best solution, not who came up with it.
- High Velocity: We are growing rapidly. You should be comfortable with change and ready to build systems that scale with the client base.
- Direct Communication: We value clarity and brevity.
