Role Summary
The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for defining and delivering an optimal user experience for a high-profile client's digital properties, encompassing a two-sided e-commerce marketplace and a community platform. The goal is to maximize user engagement and conversion through intuitive and aesthetically compelling design.
Key Responsibilities
- User Experience Strategy:
- Design and refine the user flows for critical areas, including new user onboarding experiences, the e-commerce checkout path, and vendor-specific marketplace pages.
- Conduct user research (e.g., journey mapping, usability testing) to identify pain points and drive design solutions that improve the overall customer experience.
- Interface Design & Prototyping:
- Create high-fidelity UI mockups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile interfaces, ensuring designs align with the client’s brand guidelines and are conversion-focused.
- Work in collaboration with the Product Manager and dedicated Developers to translate design specifications into technical requirements.
- Conversion & Optimization Focus:
- Apply Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) principles to design, specifically focusing on optimizing the e-commerce flows for major product drops/sales events.
- Maintain and evolve a robust design system to ensure visual and experiential consistency across all digital touchpoints.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing expertise in designing e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or community-based websites.
- Expert proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and the ability to deliver development-ready assets.
- Strong understanding of usability, accessibility standards, and the technical constraints of front-end development.
- Experience integrating user feedback and data analytics into the design process.
