As part of our next phase of growth, we’re hiring a Product Design Lead to shape the experience of our platform, products — and our company itself.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to define and lead the design vision for a company scaling from research-led consultancy to a product-first technology business. You’ll design not just the interface — but the structure, tone, and consistency of how our company presents itself across touchpoints.

You’ll take ownership of both external-facing UX/UI and internal design standards, bringing design thinking into how we communicate insights, structure presentations, and tell stories — from dashboards to board decks.

This role reports into the Head of Data, AI & Technology and is foundational to how Voconiq scales its technology, brand, and operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & UX Design

• Lead the UX/UI strategy and execution for our platform, including the survey builder, dashboard viewer, and public-facing site.
• Champion a user-centred design process, leveraging research, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing.
• Define and maintain a scalable design system and component library.
• Drive accessibility, responsiveness, and consistency across all interfaces.

Internal Design Leadership

• Own the visual and structural design of internal reports, presentations, and deliverables.
• Develop templates and design standards to support cohesive communication across teams (e.g., marketing, advisory, delivery).
• Lead internal design thinking efforts to improve how we communicate insights and strategy — both visually and narratively.

Design Strategy & Collaboration

• Partner with product, data science, engineering, and research to ensure design feasibility and alignment with roadmap priorities.
• Align design activities with company OKRs and key business outcomes (e.g., client engagement, NPS, brand perception).
• Coach stakeholders in design best practices and lead design workshops when needed.

Design Ops & Governance

• Establish design guidelines, quality standards, and governance processes across the business.
• Measure and improve design effectiveness using both qualitative and quantitative feedback.
• Oversee the selection and management of design tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Notion, etc).

About You

• 6+ years of experience in product or UX design
• Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design ownership across web applications and digital platforms.
• Deep understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and accessibility.
• Strong visual design capabilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills — both visual and verbal.
• Demonstrated experience bringing design thinking into non-product domains (e.g., internal communications, research outputs, reporting).
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in agile, fast-moving teams.
• Passion for technology that creates social good and community impact.
• Experience with data visualisation, infographics, or dashboard design.
• Familiarity with front-end development or design handoff best practices.
• Exposure to content design, plain language, or information design disciplines.
• Background working in startups or scaleups, especially with platform-first strategies.
