Backend Developer (AWS & Data Systems)[Full-Time]

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer to build and manage a scalable system that collects, stores, and analyzes large volumes of data. You’ll design APIs, handle complex data tracking, and set up a secure backend infrastructure on AWS. The role also includes creating a simple internal web dashboard to view and manage collected data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend architecture for data collection and storage.
• Build efficient, secure APIs for data access and analytics.
• Create and manage databases with structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate with AWS services for storage, compute, and analytics.
• Build a basic web dashboard for sorting, filtering, and viewing data.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of all backend systems.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or a similar backend language.
• Solid knowledge of database design (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB).
• Experience building and scaling RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficient with AWS — especially:
• RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• DynamoDB
• S3 & CloudFront
• Lambda / ECS / EC2
• CloudWatch & IAM
• Comfortable working with data-heavy systems and analytics.
• Familiar with basic web front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, or Vue) for admin dashboards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data pipelines or analytics tools (Athena, Redshift, or Glue).
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and application monitoring.

Compensation

$5000 per month. Opportunity for longterm role.
