WBD Group is expanding and is seeking an experienced CAD Façade Technician to join our Façade Engineering team.
Working remotely from Croatia, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality CAD and BIM outputs across a range of façade projects, ensuring accurate, coordinated and buildable design documentation from concept through to construction. You will work closely with engineers, consultants, and the Design Manager to deliver projects to the
highest technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup, development and coordination of façade CAD designs and BIM models.
- Produce and manage high-quality drawing packages, including GA drawings, detailed sections, fabrication, installation, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in drawings and BIM models
- Review and approve drawings and models prepared by technicians, ensuring compliance with company QA standards
- Carry out model audits and quality checks to maintain BIM standards and project compliance
- Develop façade principle details and high-level detailing solutions to support early stage design.
- Manage drawing revisions, document control, and project deliverables.
- Coordinate with project teams throughout project delivery.
- Act as the primary CAD/BIM contact for the Design Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience (2–4 years) as a CAD Technician within the façade or building envelope industry.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); Revit/BIM experience is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of façade systems, including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, windows, doors, and associated façade interfaces.
- Experience producing coordinated CAD drawings and BIM models across multiple project stages.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a CAD-related discipline (preferred but not essential).
