About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Web Development Team Lead to spearhead our WordPress platform initiatives. In this role, you will manage a team of up to 5 developers and ensure the seamless execution of complex development tasks across both frontend and backend ecosystems. Your expertise in WordPress Multisite, custom WordPress development, and API integrations will be pivotal in delivering a high-performance, secure, and scalable web platform. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Project Management
- Lead and mentor a team of up to 5 developers, ensuring high performance and continuous skill development
- Execute large-scale projects using Agile methodologies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily standups
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining code quality and best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical documentation and development standards
- Recruit, hire, and assess individual team members’ performance
WordPress Core Development
- Define architectural design approaches that support scalability and long-term maintainability
- Build performant, accessible, and responsive user interfaces for our consumer-facing WordPress websites.
- Prepare functional specifications and technical design documents that align with business objectives
- Create custom reusable, dynamic block components with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or native block APIs
- Customize and extend the WordPress admin interface, providing intuitive and efficient tools for content editors
- Write and maintain backend services and APIs to support application features
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress, including payment gateways, CRM systems, social media platforms, and analytics tools
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical bottlenecks
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application stability, functionality, and performance
- Set up and maintain cron jobs for automating scheduled tasks and routine processes
- Enhance site speed and user experience by applying best practices in performance optimization and continuously monitoring impact using tools like GTmetrix and Lighthouse.
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Expertise
- 10+ years of experience in full-stack web development with a strong focus on WordPress
- Experienced in managing and optimizing large-scale WordPress Multisite databases, with expertise in query performance tuning and implementing best practices
- Deep knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks including React
- Proven expertise in extending core Gutenberg blocks and building custom blocks
- Well-versed in customizing WordPress, including building themes and plugins from scratch
- Skilled in developing and consuming RESTful APIs in WordPress, including data fetching, transformation, and secure data handling
- Proven ability to write well-designed, testable, reusable code following modern development standards
- Solid foundation in test-driven development, implementing Continuous Integration, with hands-on experience developing and maintaining unit and integration tests
- Strong understanding of backend performance strategies including cron jobs, caching mechanisms, and database optimization techniques
- Familiarity in implementing web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Working knowledge of DevOps best practices, including CI/CD workflows, infrastructure automation, and cloud-based environments.
- Proficiency with version control (GIT) and deployment pipelines
Team Leadership Experience
- Previous experience leading a development team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including story creation, backlog grooming and sprint planning
- Proficient with project management tools like Asana or Jira
- Comfortable writing functional requirement documents and specifications

Base Salary Range zł252,000.00 - zł378,000.00 We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
