Overview
Doner is seeking a skilled Presentation Template Designer to update and refine an existing presentation template. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, understands brand systems, and can translate brand guidelines into polished, user-friendly templates in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Adobe InDesign. This is a freelance engagement focused on upgrading an existing template rather than building a full presentation from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Review the current presentation template and identify opportunities to modernize layout, hierarchy, and visual consistency.
- Update and refine master layouts, slide masters, and styles in one or more of the following:
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Google Slides
- Adobe InDesign (for presentation or pitch-book style documents)
- Apply existing brand guidelines (colors, typography, logo usage, graphic elements) to ensure a cohesive, on-brand template system.
- Create a clear set of reusable slide types (e.g., title, section divider, content, comparison, data/graphs, image-forward, case study, team, closing).
- Set up and organize styles, grids, and spacing so internal users can easily build presentations with minimal formatting work.
- Optimize for usability: ensure templates are intuitive to use for non-designers and work smoothly across typical screen sizes and presentation environments.
- Prepare final template files and basic usage notes or a quick-start guide for internal teams.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and refine as needed within the project scope.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing presentation templates or pitch decks in at least one of:
- PowerPoint
- Google Slides
- Adobe InDesign
- Strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern presentation design and template systems.
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines and extending them into practical template formats.
- Ability to structure master slides, styles, and reusable components for non-designer users.
- Attention to detail and consistency across all template elements.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to take and implement feedback efficiently.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing templates for agencies, marketing teams, or sales organizations.
- Comfort working with charts, simple infographics, and data visualization within presentations.
- Basic understanding of how presentations are used in pitches, client meetings, and internal reviews.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should share a resume and a portfolio or sample work that includes presentation templates or deck designs created in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or InDesign, highlighting before/after examples where possible.
