Job Summary
The CADD Specialist is responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and design documents using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software. The role supports engineering and design teams by producing accurate drawings according to project requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D/3D technical drawings using CADD software.
- Develop layouts, detailed drawings, plans, and design documentation.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications, and completeness.
- Incorporate design changes and revisions as required.
- Maintain drawing files, templates, and document records.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams.
- Ensure drawings follow company, project, and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing drawings for construction, manufacturing, or project execution.
- Update existing drawings based on site information or engineering changes.
- Maintain proper version control and naming conventions.
- Support printing, plotting, and electronic submission of drawings.
- Identify drafting errors and resolve issues in coordination with the relevant team.
- Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CADD software.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings, dimensions, and engineering standards.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Civil 3D, or other relevant CADD software.
- Basic knowledge of 3D modeling.
- Familiarity with engineering/design standards.
- Experience with document management and drawing revision control.
