Global spirits company
Remote - anywhere in Australia considered (Sydney preferred)
Full-time Role
$85-$95k plus super (dep on experience)
Are you a creative designer with a passion for the alcohol industry who loves solving problems that make customers stop and look?
This is a rare creative opportunity to work across some of the most well known spirits brands in the world, concepting, creating, and innovating across a portfolio so broad that no two weeks will ever look the same. If you live and breathe great brand work and you understand what it takes to connect with a customer in the real world, read on.
The opportunity
This is a newly created role for one of the world's largest and most diverse spirits companies, a business with over 500 brands sold across global markets. You'll be the dedicated designer for the APAC region, working closely with the local commercial lead and collaborating with a creative studio team based in the US.
The creative scope here is genuinely exciting. You won't just be executing briefs. You'll be shaping how some of the most recognisable names in alcohol show up in the market from the point of sale all the way through to brand new product innovations. This is a role where your ideas genuinely matter, where great thinking is welcomed, and where you have the creative runway to do some of the best work of your career.
What you'll be working on
- Point of sale and retail, including shelf talkers, disruptive displays and in-store activations that make people stop mid-aisle
- Conceptual branding for new product innovations, genuine blue sky thinking and building brands from the ground up
- Theatrical and 3D display concepts, big imaginative ideas brought to life visually
- Digital assets and campaign executions across multiple brands and markets
- Brand revitalisation, taking well loved brands and reimagining how they show up in the world
- Rapid ideation, bringing concepts to life fast using AI tools, sketches, or quick mock-ups to get ideas across the line
Who you are
Ideally you have come from the alcohol, beverage, or FMCG world. You know how these brands work and how they live in retail environments. That background is a real advantage here and will fast-track your impact from day one.
You are a genuine creative thinker. You bring ideas to the table, you push concepts further and you can flex your style across a huge range of brands without losing what makes each one distinct.
When someone asks why you made a creative decision, you have a real answer. Not just "it looked good" but a thoughtful point of view about the customer, the brand, and what you were trying to achieve. That kind of thinking is exactly what this team is looking for.
What we're looking for
- A background in alcohol, beverage, or FMCG, highly desirable
- Strong retail and point of sale experience, this is the core of the role
- Range across digital and print
- The ability to work confidently across many brands with very different personalities
- Confidence presenting your work and the thinking behind it
- Curiosity about AI and how it can accelerate early-stage concepting
- A beautifully presented portfolio
The working style
This is a remote-first role with a genuinely flexible schedule, but it does require someone who thrives working independently and loves jumping on a Zoom. You'll collaborate with a team spread across Sydney and the US so there is some early morning territory that comes with the role.
Because this role connects directly with a US-based studio team, you will need to be open to some early morning starts, on some days as early as 5am. In return, you run your own schedule for the rest of the day. There is no clock-watching here, and the team genuinely respects that flexibility works both ways. If you are a morning person who likes to get ahead of the day and then manage your own time, this will suit you well.
Eligibility
To be considered for this role you must be based in Australia with full Australian working rights. While the role is remote, you will need to be able to work within the Sydney timezone and be available for US hours when needed. We are not able to consider candidates based outside of Australia or those requiring visa sponsorship.
How to apply
To be considered please apply now and make sure your portfolio is included as a link in your CV. Please remember we are looking for people who can show their thinking, not just their output.
